Communities that Work is a podcast from KRFC 88.9 FM Fort Collins devoted to issues, ideas, programs and people shaping life in Northern Colorado and beyond.

Debuting in 2004 under the name Community at Work, it was KRFC's longest-running on-0air public affairs show. As an on-air program, it earned 3 awards of Excellence from the Colorado Broadcasters Association. In 2024, the show transitioned from an on-air once a week to an on demand format at www.krfcfm.org.

In 2025 a new podcast was born... Communities that Work. The same quality programming is accessible as a podcast on any service or app where you listen to podcasts - as well as on www.krfcfm.org.

When in-district students need medical assistance, food and/or other resources to successfully obtain an education; Poudre Schools in Fort Collins can help. Through the Medicaid, Outreach and Enrollment Department; folks can get general information, complete application materials and work with a Medicaid Enrollment Specialist to complete a complicated process--efficiently. As the school district mission is to "Educate...Every Child, Every Day;" this department also partners with other local and in-district resources to help families who may require a variety of assets and assistance.
