Charlotte the stingray's tangled web

Earlier this year, an aquarium in a small-town in western North Carolina claimed that a stingray named Charlotte got impregnated by a shark. Charlotte became an internet sensation in the aftermath and quite possibly the most famous fish in the world. Then, things got weird.
