In July, The New Yorker published its thirtieth story by Tessa Hadley—a higher count that of any other fiction writer in the past two decades. In July, The New Yorker published its thirtieth story by Tessa Hadley—a higher count that of any other fiction writer in the past two decades. On a recent episode of the New Yorker Radio Hour, the fiction editor Deborah Treisman spoke with Hadley about her genesis as a fiction writer. Hadley’s latest story collection is “After the Funeral.”
